Job Responsibilities:
1. Fleet Planning & Deployment
- Plan and schedule daily bus operations, ensuring optimal vehicle utilization.
- Assign buses to different routes based on demand, battery range, and charging needs.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure roadworthy buses are available for operations.
2. Charging & Energy Management
- Monitor and schedule charging sessions to ensure buses have adequate battery levels before deployment.
- Optimize charging cycles to reduce downtime and manage electricity costs.
- Coordinate with the electrical team to ensure charging infrastructure availability and efficiency.
3. Real-Time Monitoring & Tracking
- Use GPS tracking and fleet management systems to monitor bus locations, speed, and performance.
- Ensure compliance with route schedules and operational timelines.
- Address unexpected delays, breakdowns, or rerouting needs promptly.
4. Driver & Staff Coordination
- Assign and manage drivers schedules, shifts, and duty rotations.
- Ensure drivers are trained on EV-specific driving techniques, battery management, and energy efficiency.
- Address driver concerns, grievances, or operational challenges.
5. Vehicle Maintenance & Uptime
- Work with maintenance teams to schedule preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Track vehicle health, battery performance, and component wear & tear.
- Ensure a sufficient number of buses are available while others undergo maintenance or charging.
6. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to government regulations, safety protocols, and operational guidelines.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce eco-friendly driving habits.
- Address incidents, accidents, or breakdowns with proper reporting and follow-up.
7. Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze vehicle usage, mileage, and battery consumption to improve efficiency.
- Prepare reports on fleet performance, operational costs, and energy consumption.
- Implement technology solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Transport Management, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years in fleet management, preferably in electric buses or public transportation.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of EV technology, charging systems, and fleet optimization.
- Experience with fleet management software, GPS tracking, and data analytics.
- Strong problem-solving and route planning skills.
- Understanding of government transportation regulations.
