Performance Tester (JMeter)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Performance Tester with expertise in JMeter to join our team. The
ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing performance
tests to ensure our systems’ scalability, stability, and reliability under various loads.

Key Responsibilities

1. Test Planning & Design:
   o Understand performance testing requirements and create comprehensive test
   plans and strategies.
   o Design performance test scripts, scenarios, and workloads using JMeter.
2. Test Execution:
   o Execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests on web applications,
   APIs, and databases.
   o Monitor system behavior under load using JMeter and other tools.
3. Monitoring & Analysis:
   o Analyze system metrics such as response time, throughput, CPU usage,
   memory usage, and error rates.
   o Identify bottlenecks and provide actionable recommendations for performance
   optimization.
4. Continuous Improvement:
   o Identify opportunities to optimize testing processes and frameworks for
   efficiency and accuracy.
   o Research and implement new tools and technologies to enhance automation
   coverage and performance.
5. Collaboration:
   o Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams to understand the
   system architecture and resolve performance issues.
   • Assist in debugging and root cause analysis of performance-related issues.
6. Reporting
   o Document test results, create detailed performance test reports, and present
   findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

1. Educational Background:
   o Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
2. Technical Skills:
   o Hands-on experience with JMeter for creating and executing performance
   test scripts.
   o Familiarity with HTTP, REST APIs, and web application architectures.
   o Proficient in analyzing test results and logs to diagnose issues.
   o Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, New Relic, AppDynamics,
   or similar tools.
   o Ability to write custom scripts or extensions in Java, Groovy, or other
   programming languages.
3. Experience:
   o [3–6] years of experience in QA Performance Test (Jmeter).
4. Soft Skills:
   o Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
   o Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional
   teams.
   o Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with other performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, Gatling, or
  BlazeMeter.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating performance tests into DevOps
  workflows.
